Reiki level one is the first of three Reiki degrees. Reiki first degree prepares you for channelling Reiki energy. After learning this level you become a channel of reiki energy and can transmit reiki to other people through your hands.

The training period may vary from teacher to teacher. A typical Reiki I training session includes - information on reiki history, life history of Dr. Mikao Usui, Chujiro Hayashi, Hawayo Takata and other prominent reiki teachers down the years, reiki principles, reiki hand positions, reiki healing techniques.

After completing first level training, you are required to undergo a 21 days 'cleansing period'. During this period you will treat yourself each day with reiki, by placing your hands in some specific regions of your body. This period is called 'cleansing period' as it helps you get rid of negative and toxic elements in your body.
